CONTEMPORARY

AUGUST 19, 2026

5:00-6:00PM - 12& UNDER

6:00PM-7:00PM - 13 & OVER

Miyah Henderson (born in Greenville, South Carolina) lived and trained in Atlanta, GA for most of her adolescent years. Miyah moved to New York in 2016 after finishing high school, and now considers New York, specifically Brooklyn, her home. She graduated with a BFA in Commercial Dance and a Minor in Creative Writing from Pace University in 2020. Miyah is now signed and represented by Clear Talent Group in both New York and Los Angeles and has had the opportunity to work bicoastal over the last couple of years. She has had the privilege to work with some of the finest industry professionals on both the east and west coast. Miyah continues to book work in both tv/film and live stage productions. You can see her in the feature film “IF” starring Ryan Reynolds (choreographed by Mandy Moore - assisted by Al Blackstone) and Vanessa Williams music video for her comeback single “Legs” (choreographed by Rickey Tripp). Miyah also took on the role as a swing for the  immersive show “Hypnotique” at the McKittrick Hotel and performed in the 2024 holiday season production of the Big Apple Circus at Lincoln Center. Miyah has also had opportunity to dance alongside artists such as Lana Del Ray at Fenway Park. Combining her love for fashion and dance, she danced in Gigi Hadid’s “You Can’t Stop the Beat” visual that was released in the March 2025 issue of VOGUE. Most recently, Miyah can be seen in Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” music video choreographed by Mandy Moore.

Miyah loves to perform, but she fell in love with teaching in her teenage years. She believes that all of her professional experiences continue to enhance her teaching style and choreographic voice. Her hope is to instill the love that she has for dance in generations to come while simultaneously helping to build confidence within each dancer that walks into her classroom.
